Robert W. Ott, 93, formerly of Culver, passed away on July 14, 2011 in Frankfort, Indiana. Bob was born on October 17, 1917 to Guy Hower and Florence (Stocker) Ott in Syracuse, Indiana. He attended school in and near Syracuse. He moved to Culver in 1936. He was married to Louise G. Strang in 1938. She preceded him in death in 1997. Bob was active in the Wesley United Methodist Church in Culver. He did volunteer maintenance work as well as bookkeeping. He enjoyed his family trips to Michigan every fall. After his retirement from many years in the accounting field, he finally had time to become the best fisherman on the Gulf Coast. Bob is survived by his sons R. William (Robin) Ott Jr of Phoenix, AZ, F. Thomas (Mary) Ott of St. Louis, MO, Guy H. (Arlene) Ott of Mesa, AZ, and Peter J. (Beth) Ott of Eugene, Or; 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. There will be no services or visitation. |
