Henry Lee Willhite Sr., 79, of Culver, passed away at 5:10AM on January 15,
2012, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Henry was born on January 3. 1933 in West Helena, Arkansas to Elbert and
Ioney Willhite. He was married to Gladys Goggins on August 23, 1956.
Henry proudly served his country in the US Army. He worked for the Culver
Military Academies from 1951 - 1984. He enjoyed golf, playing cards, and
playing the lottery.
Henry is survived by his wife Gladys; sons Michael Lee and Henry Lee Jr. of
Culver; brothers Lawrence of Milwaukee, WI and Roosevelt of Eldorado, AR,
sister Pearlie Mae Price of Milwaukee. WI; and grandson Zachery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sons David and Jeffrey, 3 brothers
and 1 sister.
A time of sharing memories with the family will be held at the Culver
Academies Memorial Chapel on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 4:00 -
8:00PM. A private graveside service and burial will be on Saturday, January
21, 2012.
Memorials may be given to the Henry & Gladys Willhite Minority Scholarship
Fund at Ancilla College.
